WhatsApp application for old devices Android 4.2

+Font size-

WhatsApp is an encrypted and somewhat secure messaging application that allows sending videos, photos, and HD video calls provided by Meta. Founded in 2009 by Jan Koum and Brian Acton, the application quickly gained popularity due to its user-friendly interface and ease of use. The story of WhatsApp's rise to fame is an interesting one, filled with ups and downs.

In 2007, Jan Koum and Brian Acton, both former employees of Yahoo!, decided to leave the company and pursue their own venture. They spent the next two years trying to come up with an idea for a startup. During this time, they both applied for jobs at Facebook, but were rejected.

In January 2009, Koum purchased an iPhone and realized the potential of the App Store. He began thinking about the possibility of creating a messaging app that would be free, easy to use, and available to everyone. After a few months of development, Koum and Acton released WhatsApp on the App Store in November 2009.

Initially, WhatsApp did not receive much attention. However, in February 2011, everything changed. An article was published on TechCrunch, a popular technology news website, about the growing popularity of WhatsApp in countries like Spain and the Netherlands. The article caught the attention of many people, and soon, WhatsApp began to gain traction.

As the number of users grew, Koum and Acton faced a new problem: how to fund their startup. They decided to make WhatsApp a paid app, charging users a one-time fee of $0.99. The decision was controversial, as many people believed that charging for the app would hurt its growth. However, Koum and Acton believed that it was the right thing to do.

In 2014, Meta acquired WhatsApp for $19 billion. The acquisition was a huge success for Koum and Acton, who became billionaires overnight. However, the acquisition also brought about some changes. Facebook introduced end-to-end encryption to WhatsApp, ensuring that all messages sent through the app were secure and private.

To date, the number of users of WhatsApp, which belongs to the Meta company, has reached 2 billion users around the world. It has revolutionized the way we communicate, allowing people to stay in touch with friends and family regardless of their location. Its success is a testament to the power of entrepreneurship and the importance of perseverance.
